Note: Eddie Barclay (1921-2005), music producer and founder of the Barclay label, was one of the great figures of the French record industry during the second half of the XXᵉ century. Nicknamed the "Emperor of the LP", he played a decisive role in the development and dissemination of recorded music, producing many major chanson and jazz artists. This photograph, taken in the 1960s, shows him surrounded by posters and records, an emblematic image of his activity as a producer and phonographic publisher at the time of the rise of the LP and the modern music industry. It testifies to Barclay's importance in promoting and disseminating popular music in France.
