PATEK PHILIPPE Small pocket watch in silver 800 thousandths, entirely chased case with foliage and rockery decoration, the back showing "Saint-Georges slaying the Dragon", inside a scene representing Christ in a boat on a stormy sea and the words "Intempestas Secvritas". These two associated scenes were generally intended to protect travellers, especially pilgrims. Dial chiselled with foliated scrolls with white enamelled cartouches for the hours in Roman numerals as well as for the minutes, Louis XV hands. Interior bowl signed Patek Philippe & Co, numbered 69338. Mechanical movement, cylinder escapement (as is for the movement, missing enamel on the dial, wear on the case). Gross weight: 36.80 g. Diameter: 33.50 mm. This watch is accompanied by an extract from the archives of the Patek Philippe firm, indicating year of manufacture 1883.
