Salvador DALI (1904-1989) - Sculpture Menorah - Bronze signed and numbered E.A. - Base: H:6cm, 23 x 15cm - Candlestick: 43,5 x 30cm Note: In 1945, Dali created the "Menorah", a bronze sculpture representing the famous seven-branched lamp used in the rituals of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. This work was created at the request of a Jewish art collector, Alexander Iolas. Dali stated that the creation of the Menorah was an expression of his admiration for Jewish culture and his recognition of the historical and spiritual importance of the seven-branched lamp.
