Note: Jorge Borras was born in 1952 in Benicarlo, Spain. He became interested in art at an early age, and began painting at the age of 10. He studied sculpture under Luisa Granero and painting and drawing under Francisco Ribera Gomez at the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts in Sant Jordi, Barcelona. Meanwhile, he organized his first exhibition in 1972, at the age of twenty. Wild animals also played a major role in his art. Borras' work features panthers and hippopotamuses.
