Willy Eisenschitz and landscapes
Willy Eisenschitz was born on October 27, 1889 in Vienna, Austria, into a wealthy bourgeois family. After having attended the Fine Arts School in Vienna, he moved to Paris in 1912 to perfect his skills. At the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, he met Claire Bertrand, whom he married in 1914. She will have her own artistic career and will exhibit with him on several occasions.
Willy Eisenschitz discovered in Provence a way to apprehend the treatment of landscapes. Are known many paintings of colorful Provencal fields, the most sought after being those known as "Fauves".
