Charles Cumberworth
Cumberworth exhibited at the Salon des artistes vivants from 1833 to 1848, mostly busts of women and children and allegorical statues of classical design.
We owe him the statue of Queen Marie-Amelie (1842) and the Duke of Montpensier (1847).
Like a great majority of artists, Charles Cumberworth signed in 1837 a publishing contract for his models with the Susse brothers, one of the best known and most prolific bronze founders of the time.
