MOURGUE Olivier (born 1939) & AIRBORNE (Edited by) Suite of six "Cubique" armchairs, comprising a cradle-shaped chromed tubular iron frame on which rests a two-part thermoformed polyester seat, covered with foam and blue removable fabric (used condition). Height 62.5 cm - Width 80 cm - Depth 66 cm Circa 1968 64 x 79 x 70 cm Fabric from a chair removed from the seat by 1 cm at the seam. The Djinn series (1964 -1965) in polyurethane foam covered with colored jersey, noticed by Stanley Kubrick for his film "2001, A Space Odyssey", won the First International Design Award. This was followed by chair editions in the Tric-Trac (1964), Whist (1965), Montréal (1967) and Cubique (1968) series.
