Note: Jean Cocteau was a French poet, multi-talented artist, graphic designer, draughtsman, playwright and film-maker, who studied at the Lycée Condorcet, published his first collection of poems at the age of 20, and became well known in the circles of the day. He rubbed shoulders with most of the artists who enlivened the artistic life of his time. Tribute is paid here to the society of authors.
