Jean BAZAINE (1904-2001) After the storm ... Ink on paper, signed, dated "Sept. 1974", and dedicated "pour Nelson" lower right 26.2 x 19 cm Note: Après la tempête..., ink on paper, dated September 1974, is an emblematic work of Jean Bazaine's lyrical abstraction. Signed and dedicated "for Nelson", this piece (26.2 x 19 cm) illustrates his ability to transcribe the power and poetry of natural elements into fluid, controlled gestures. Here, Bazaine explores appeasement after chaos, capturing the essence of a dissipated storm with a lively, spontaneous stroke. Through this intimate composition, he celebrates the link between nature, emotion and humanity, a central theme in his work.
