Portrait of a woman, 2011
Oil on canvas signed on back
Framed under glass
Dimensions: 110 x 89 cm

Note: In this oil on canvas, Philippe Pasqua deploys the full power of his pictorial expression in a portrait where the intensity of the gaze and the pictorial material confront each other. His energetic gesture and contrasting palette give the work a striking presence, oscillating between strength and fragility. A work emblematic of his instinctive, deeply emotional approach to portraiture.
