Igor MITORAJ (1944-2014) - Lot 44
Igor MITORAJ (1944-2014) Centurion II Green patina bronze proof, signed on the base left Dimensions: Height: 19 - Width: 12.5 - Depth: 6 cm Note: In this bronze print with green patina, Igor Mitoraj revisits the heritage of Antiquity through a contemporary, fragmentary approach. True to his aesthetic, the artist gives this Centurion figure a timeless aura, combining strength and vulnerability. With its refined modelling and worked surface, this work embodies the tension between the past and modernity that is the hallmark of Mitoraj's singular style.
