Jean LAMBERT-RUCKI (1888 - 1967) - Lot 46
Jean LAMBERT-RUCKI (1888 - 1967) Woman with muff, circa 1926 Brown patina bronze, signed, stamped J.D.V. La Plaine foundry, justified 8/8. Made from the original plaster, with the authorization of the heirs to the moral rights. A certificate of origin signed by the artist's daughters will be issued to the purchaser. 40.5 x 10.5 x 9 cm Exhibitions " Lambert-Rucki, Les Parisiens et les autres ", Galerie J. De Vos , May/June 199. "Jean Lambert-Rucki, 1888-1967", De Vos&Giraud Gallery, New York, Nov./Dec. 2006. Note: In this bronze sculpture with brown patina, Jean Lambert-Rucki expresses with elegance and modernity the refined silhouette of a woman with a muff. Made from the original plaster with the permission of the heirs, this work reflects the influence of Cubism and Art Deco in its stylized treatment of form. The balance of the volumes and the refined simplicity of the composition underline the artist's singular approach, between abstraction and figuration. This 8/8 justified print, published by La Plaine fondeur, continues the artistic legacy of Lambert-Rucki, whose work has been regularly featured at international exhibitions.
