AR. Pernoud - Lot 30
AR. Pernoud Homage to Rothko Mixed media on paper Size unframed (view) : 19 x 24 cm Dimensions with frame : 40 x 50 cm Note: In Hommage à Rothko, AR. Pernoud revisits the aesthetic of the American master, combining it with a denser, more organic materiality. Superimposed layers, abraded in places, reveal red, violet and bluish flashes that seem to emerge from a dark background. The work plays more on texture than transparency, transforming chromatic meditation into a vibrant, almost volcanic surface. A personal and expressive interpretation of color-field abstraction.
