Danuta LE HÉNAFF (1922-2013) - Lot 74
Danuta LE HÉNAFF (1922-2013) Enameled stoneware pitcher with ethnic decoration Tananarive, 1967 Height: 18.5 cm Note: Enameled stoneware pitcher by Danuta Le Hénaff, made in 1967 in Tananarive, where the artist stayed and developed a decorative language blending Malagasy influences, primitive textures and modernist utilitarian forms. The ethnic decor, made up of incised or painted motifs, illustrates her interest in traditional art and local techniques, integrated into a stoneware production of great aesthetic sensitivity.
