Charming set of twelve silver-plated knife-holders, rectangular in shape, richly decorated in relief with foliate scrolls and foliage in the classical French style. Each element features a clean, regular chasing, typical of the work of Paris silversmith Pierre Meurgey. Presented in their original midnight-blue box with gold lettering. Condition: very good overall. Some minor wear to the box. Dimensions (approx.): 7 x 2 cm each knife holder. Provenance: private collection.
