L. CORDES (20th) - Lot 214
L. CORDES (20th) Still life Set of 2 gouaches on paper Signed lower right 65 x 50 cm Note: These still lifes by L. Cordes present a delicately structured composition, where the soft tones of the background contrast with the brightness of the fruit in the foreground. The whole shows a strong sense of color and texture, characteristic of a modern approach to this classic genre. Slight wear to the support in no way detracts from the pictorial quality of the work.
