SCHNEIDER - Lot 299

SCHNEIDER PRESSED GLASS SUSPENSION BASIN - ART DECO WORK - Ø 34 CM Suspension basin in frosted molded pressed glass, with radiating geometric decor and frieze of raised honeycomb motifs, typical of Art Deco production in the 1930s. Slightly frosted glass, three perforations for mounting. Note: This pressed glass bowl is a perfect example of the decorative vocabulary of Art Deco, combining a central radiating motif with a honeycomb frieze typical of the 1930s. The frosted, slightly frosted glass provides a soft diffusion of light, while emphasizing the precision of the molded reliefs. The three original perforations confirm an element designed for complete suspension, appreciated today as much for the restoration of period luminaires as for contemporary decorative projects. Diameter: 34 cm. Condition: minor wear and irregularities.
