Marcel MOUILLOT (1889-1972) - Lot 12
Marcel MOUILLOT (1889-1972) Landscape, circa 1930 Oil on canvas Signed lower left 22 x 27.5 cm Note: This Landscape, circa 1930, illustrates Marcel Mouillot's characteristic style, marked by a geometric construction of forms and simplification of volumes, inherited from the modern research of the interwar period. The compact architecture and structured treatment of the relief give the composition an atmosphere that is both synthetic and poetic. With its sober palette and formal balance, this oil on canvas is a representative example of the artist's production in the 1930s, a period appreciated by connoisseurs of modern French painting.
