Brigitte Bardot - Lot 23

Brigitte Bardot Silver print Lynx press photographic agency stamp on back Slightly corroded corners: 25.5 x 19.5 cm Note: This silver print of Brigitte Bardot illustrates the timeless power of her image and its central role in the visual history of the 20th century. Actress, muse and popular icon, Bardot embodies a new femininity, liberated and intensely expressive, which has profoundly marked the collective imagination. Her face, now emblematic, sums up an era, between apparent innocence and strength of character. Distributed by the Lynx agency, this photograph is in the tradition of the press portrait, combining spontaneity and media construction. The tight framing and soft lighting highlight the fragility of the gaze and the restrained sensuality of the expression, giving the image an almost introspective dimension. Despite the slight marks of time, this print retains all its emotional power, reminding us of the fundamental role of silver photography in the making and transmission of modern myths.
