Richard MISRACH (1949) - Lot 192
Richard MISRACH (1949) Soumion (with stars), Greece 1979 Color print, 1983 On the back, signed, titled, dated Image size: 26 x 30 cm Sheet size: 27 x 35.5 cm Note: In Soumion (with stars), Richard Misrach confronts ancient architecture with the immensity of the night sky, inscribing the monument in a cosmic temporality. Artificial light caresses the millennia-old stones, while the horizon opens onto infinity, creating an image that is both monumental and meditative. True to his contemplative approach, Misrach transforms the landscape into a space for reflection on time, memory and human presence.
