Patrice GIORDANI (XX) - Lot 51
Patrice GIORDANI (XX) Paradise, 1984 Oil on canvas Signed upper right and dated 1984 Titled on back and dated 1984 Provenance: Binoche et Godeau auctioneers' label on back Dimensions: 92 x 60 cm Note : In Le Paradis (1984), Patrice Giordani develops an expressionist, symbolic vision in which human figures and natural elements seem to melt into a vibrant nocturnal landscape. The dense treatment of the material, the strong black contours and the palette dominated by deep blues lend the scene a dramatic intensity. The stylized, almost mythological figures create a dreamlike atmosphere, oscillating between gravity and lyricism. A work characteristic of the artist's own narrative and gestural vein.
