Jorge CAMACHO (1934-2011) - Lot 30
Jorge CAMACHO (1934-2011) Surrealist composition, circa 1965-1975 Color lithograph on paper Signed in pencil lower right Proof justified in pencil lower left EA 4/10 63.5 x 48 cm (on view) Note: The formal vocabulary - fragmented bodies, unstable structures, floating elements - is emblematic of the world of Jorge Camacho, an artist close to late Surrealism, nourished by mythology, alchemy and a personal symbolic iconography. The soft palette, dominated by greens, blues and ochres, contrasts with the complexity of the drawing, giving the whole a narrative yet enigmatic atmosphere. This print is representative of Camacho's lithographed production, widely distributed from the 1960s onwards.
