Loris Gréaud - Lot 91
Loris Gréaud INTERZONE The Unplayed Notes Museum 48 pages, paperback, dust jacket Numbered 75 from an edition of 285 + current edition "L'art en écrit, 2015. Editions Janninck Format: 125 x 210 mm Enclosed is a real butterfly, on black cardboard, a unique piece. Note: Loris Gréaud (b. 1979, Eaubonne, France) is a transdisciplinary artist with a passion for architecture and quantum mechanics. He holds a degree in graphic arts and is an alumnus of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts de Cergy, founder of an experimental film workshop, producer of an electronic music label and entrepreneur. Adopting the modus operandi of a film director or orchestra conductor (involving collaborations with various contributors, experts in their discipline, including architects and scientists), Gréaud builds empirical machines where the medium systematically follows the ideas, which are themselves exchanged, shared, negotiated and distorted. In 2004, together with architects Marc Dölger and Damien Ziakovic, Loris Gréaud founded DGZ Research, a multidisciplinary production studio for "utopian" projects, responsible for the design, architecture and project management of the Cellar Door exhibition. Loris Gréaud has exhibited in Hong Kong, Tokyo, London, Berlin, Milan, Los Angeles, New York and Paris (notably at Le Plateau, the Palais de Tokyo and the Centre Pompidou). He was awarded the Prix Ricard in 2005. A notebook combining text and collage, retracing the imaginary history of the natural history museum created by Loris Gréaud at Dallas Contemporary. First edition accompanied by a real butterfly, on black cardboard, a unique piece.
