Note: Jesús-Rafael Soto (1923, Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela - 2005, Paris) is a Venezuelan artist emblematic of the Op Art / Art cinétique movement, renowned for his moving sculptures and giant optical installations. His text expresses a whole philosophy in which "let think and let do" sounds like the credo of an artist at peace with himself, at peace with the world. And when Soto looks back on his fifty years of pictorial research, it is with simplicity and modesty. This previously unpublished account is illustrated with an original signed lithograph of a virtual work.
