Note: A great nomad, poet and artist, founder of the Maison de l'art vivant in the Drôme, Jean-Luc Parant (1944-2022) is the author of nearly 200 publications, from his first texts published by Fata Morgana and Christian Bourgois in 1976. His poetic work, entirely concerned with the question of sphericity, is a unique look at reality, that which is impossible to see and grasp other than through signs. "I write texts about eyes so that I can enter my eyes and go where my body doesn't go, where I've never been with it, where I don't remember being touchable. To go there on the page, in my head, in space. I make balls so I can get into my hands and go where my eyes don't go, where I've never been with them, where I don't remember being visible. To go there in matter, in my body on earth." Jean-Luc Parant has exhibited his work at the Fondation Maeght, the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Musée d'art moderne de la ville de Paris, among others.
