Jaxon (20th century) - Lot 8
Jaxon (20th century) Avalon Ballroom - April 12 to 14, 1968 Concert poster with Almen Joy, Ace of Cups, Fugs (FD-114) 55 x 35.5 cm Note: Poster produced for concerts at the Avalon Ballroom, in the late phase of the Family Dog series. Reference FD-114 is in line with the graphic evolution of 1968: more structured compositions, typography still integrated into the design, but with greater legibility than the first productions of 1966-1967. The ensemble remains representative of San Francisco's psychedelic aesthetic, at the crossroads of underground graphic design, rock culture and American counter-culture.
