Victor Moscoso ( Born 1936) - Lot 14

Victor Moscoso ( Born 1936) Webb's in Stockton - April 14 and 15, 1967 Concert poster with Prastic Explosion, The Plague ( NR-13) 51.5 x 35.5 cm Note: Poster produced for concerts at Webb's in Stockton, as part of the Neon Rose (NR) series conceived by Victor Moscoso in 1967. This series is one of the most daring in American psychedelic poster design, featuring complementary contrasts, fluorescent colors, superimpositions and visual distortions that make for deliberately complex reading. Moscoso, trained in the principles of modern design, applies his theoretical mastery of color to the Californian underground aesthetic. The NR-13 reference belongs to the first experimental phase preceding the heyday of Summer of Love.
