ASLAN (Gourdon Alain) (1930-2014) - Lot 47

ASLAN (Gourdon Alain) (1930-2014) Pin Up-Pacer American Motors Jean Charles Automobiles, circa 1980 Original vintage poster 60 x 45 cm Note: Rare advertising poster by Aslan, the emblematic French pin-up artist of the second half of the XXᵉ century. Here, his sensual, elegant style is fully expressed through a stylized female figure, with supple forms and suggestive attitude, which dominates the composition. The contrast between the glamorous figure and the American Motors Pacer car creates an original dialogue between seduction and industrial modernity. The image plays on the humor and visual double entendre characteristic of Aslan's creations, where femininity becomes a vector of commercial appeal. A testament to the advertising aesthetic of the 1970s-1980s, this poster is as appealing for its graphic quality as for the reputation of its author, who is much sought-after by pin-up and French illustration fans. A rare piece, both decorative and representative of an era.
