John LEVEE ( 1924-2017) - Lot 70

John LEVEE ( 1924-2017) Composition Color lithograph Justified EA and signed lower center in pencil 75 x 56 cm Slight soiling Note: Color lithograph by American painter John Levee, an important figure in geometric abstraction of the XXᵉ century. This composition is distinguished by a subtle interplay of interlocking forms and colored surfaces, where the balance between curved lines and flat areas lends the whole a great visual harmony. Vivid hues, contrasted by more neutral areas, create an elegant, contemporary graphic rhythm. An artist's proof (EA) signed in pencil, this work bears witness to Levee's plastic research into structure and color. A refined, decorative piece, ideal for lovers of abstract art or to enrich a graphic collection.
