TINTIN AND THE BLUE ORANGES, J-P. Talbot (role of the charac - Lot 10
TINTIN AND THE BLUE ORANGES, J-P. Talbot (role of the character created by Hergé) and child extras, during the shooting of Philippe Condroyer's film, 1963 Photo, vintage silver print Stamp on back Dimensions: 27.3 x 21 cm Note: This photograph was taken during the shooting of the film Tintin et les Oranges Bleues, directed by Philippe Condroyer and released in 1964. It shows Jean-Pierre Talbot (b. 1943), who plays the character of Tintin, surrounded by child extras. Created by Belgian cartoonist Hergé (Georges Remi, 1907-1983) in 1929, Tintin is one of the most famous characters in European comics. The film Tintin and the Blue Oranges is the second live-action film adaptation to feature Jean-Pierre Talbot in the role of the young reporter, following Tintin and the Mystery of the Golden Fleece (1961). These images bear witness to the film adaptation of Hergé's universe and to the character's popularity in the 1960s, a period when Tintin enjoyed growing international distribution through albums, cinema and the press.
