JACQUES DUTRONC, at the Puces de Clignancourt, 1960s - Lot 97
JACQUES DUTRONC, at the Puces de Clignancourt, 1960s Photo, vintage silver print Stamp on back Dimensions: 23.8 x 18 cm Note: Jacques Dutronc (b. 1943), French singer, songwriter and actor, established himself in the mid-1960s as one of the leading figures of French chanson. Revealed with such iconic songs as Et moi, et moi, et moi (1966) and Les Play Boys (1966), he developed a style blending irony, satire and rock influences. This photograph, taken at the Puces de Clignancourt in Paris in the 1960s, shows the artist in a popular urban setting characteristic of the capital. It bears witness to the media iconography surrounding the young stars of French chanson in the heyday of yé-yé culture. A corner manipulated.
