His chairs became world-famous when they were used in Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey. These chairs, particularly the Djinn model, contributed to the film's futuristic aesthetic, and today represent one of the most emblematic examples of design integrated into film sets. The photographs, including two by Pierre Denis, document these creations in the context of their distribution and international recognition. They bear witness to the link between design, interior architecture and cinema during the 1960s, a period marked by the exploration of a futuristic imagination in the arts and visual culture.
