ART DÉCO SUSPENSION FRAME WITH FOUR LIGHTS, circa 1930 - Lot 143
ART DÉCO SUSPENSION FRAME WITH FOUR LIGHTS, circa 1930 Suspension mount in patinated metal, with a highly geometric pyramid shape, composed of four angular arms each terminating in a socket, allowing the installation of four lights. Typical Art Deco openwork structure, ideal for holding a central globe or basin. Dimensions: - Width: approx. 45-48 cm - Height of structure alone: approx. 22-25 cm Condition: wear, oxidation, electrics to be overhauled. Sold as is, without glassware. Note: This Art Deco four-light suspension frame perfectly illustrates the geometric, architectural aesthetic of the early 1930s. The pyramidal structure, punctuated by angular arms and openwork sections, bears witness to the rigorous design characteristic of the style. Designed to accommodate a globe or central bowl, it provides a solid base for the reconstruction of a period luminaire. Wear and tear, traces of oxidation and the necessary electrical overhaul are consistent with the piece's age. Sold as is, without glassware, this mount is a fine example of Art Deco metalwork that is both decorative and functional.
