Walter CARONE (1920 - 1982) - Lot 59
Walter CARONE (1920 - 1982) Anne Marie Philippe and her father Gerard Philippe Silver RC press print 20 x 30 cm Note: Press photograph by Walter Carone, showing Anne-Marie Philipe with her father Gérard Philipe, a major figure in French theater and cinema, who died prematurely in 1959. This image has both an artistic and a memorial dimension, evoking the legacy of an iconic actor. RC (resin-coated) prints, characteristic of press photography from the 1970s onwards, were favored for their speed of production and distribution in media circuits. This type of print is an archival document of iconographic and historical interest to collectors of French cinema and theater.
