Jordan RETARD (XX-XXI) - Lot 259

Jordan RETARD (XX-XXI) La grotte, Annabelle, Paris, 2023 Silver print On back, titled, dated, located, signed Dimensions: 30 x 40 cm Note: In this image, Jordan Retard composes a dense, almost object-saturated scene, in which the naked body is at the heart of an intimate, teeming universe. Lying down, the figure seems absorbed in its environment, as if concealed in a personal "cave" of books, images and memories. The soft light isolates the body while revealing the textures and details of the décor. The contrast between nudity and visual accumulation creates an interesting tension: the body becomes a resting point, a calm center amidst the clutter. The whole evokes a very personal, almost introspective intimacy, between refuge and withdrawal from the world.
