Steve Mc Queen with a gun - Lot 41
Steve Mc Queen with a gun Digital color print 17.3 x 30.2 cm Note: Iconic scene showing Steve McQueen in a posture of controlled tension, revolver in hand, sitting nonchalantly on a minimalist sofa. The sporty elegance - light polo shirt, ivory pants, sunglasses - contrasts with the presence of the weapon, synthesizing the actor's public image: coldness, precision, restrained virility. The horizontal composition accentuates the body line and dramatic tension. The wide framing and uncluttered atmosphere reinforce the aesthetics of American crime cinema in the late 1960s, a period in which McQueen established himself as a major figure in action films.
