His work questions the way in which the individual inhabits environments that are often anonymous, mineral or neglected, inscribing a presence that is both fragile and assertive. Through a refined aesthetic and sensitive use of black and white, he creates images that oscillate between documentary and poetic construction. In The masked girl, Zoé, Nanterre (2021), the artist creates a tension between body and architecture, the intimate and the collective. The theatrical, almost sculptural posture contrasts with the rigor of urban lines, creating a suspended scene between abandon and control. The wide framing and urban horizon accentuate the subject's solitude, while lending it a singular visual power. The silver print reinforces this ambivalence, giving the image a soft, timeless materiality, where the body becomes both landscape and manifesto.
