Jan SAUDEK (1935) - Lot 158
Jan SAUDEK (1935) DRAPED FIGURE WITH HEAD TO FLOOR, 1978 Vintage silver print, color highlights Signed lower right Dimensions: 28 x 22.5 cm Corners slightly bent Note: With Draped Figure with Head to Floor, Jan Saudek unfolds his introspective, theatrical universe. The veiled figure, both fragile and enigmatic, stands out against a dilapidated backdrop where light, texture and added color create a dreamlike atmosphere. True to his baroque, melancholy aesthetic, Saudek explores themes of the body, abandonment and memory, between veiled eroticism and dark poetry.
