Willy RIZZO (1928-2013) - Lot 229
Willy RIZZO (1928-2013) Charming evening in Hollywood at the "Tricolore". Silver print Lynx stamp on back Unsigned and undated. Letter on back Dimensions: 23.8 cm x 18 cm Folds Note: A major figure in celebrity photography and the post-war illustrated press, Willy Rizzo immortalized the artistic and social elite between Paris, Rome and Hollywood. This evening scene at the "Tricolore" is part of the glamorous universe characteristic of his work, blending spontaneity and sophistication. Although the print is neither signed nor dated, the presence of Lynx stamps - an agency involved in the distribution of his images - and the letter on the back reinforce its documentary interest. The image bears witness to Rizzo's view of the international art scene of the 1950s-1960s.
