Minor retouching (on the cheek) to correct a few small tears in the paper. Note: A leading figure in Parisian haute couture during the interwar period, Lucien Lelong contributed significantly to the international prestige of French fashion. Photographed upon his arrival in New York in 1932, he embodies here masculine elegance and the prestige of the traveling couturier.
