EMERALD AND DIAMOND RING — CIRCA 1950 A domed ring in partially twisted yellow gold (750‰), set with an oval emerald (probably added later) flanked by old-cut diamonds. French craftsmanship, circa 1940. Ring size: 52. Gross weight: 9.5 g. Note: A setting characteristic of the 1950s, combining the volume of the yellow gold with the contrast of the emerald and diamonds. The center stone, with a stated weight of approximately 3 carats, is the focal point of the design.
