ALAIN DELON, JEAN-PAUL BELMONDO - Lot 178
ALAIN DELON, JEAN-PAUL BELMONDO Jumps and stunts... in two respective films: Jean Herman's "Adieu l'ami" (with Charles Bronson), 1968 and Henri Verneuil's "Le Casse", 1971. 2 photos, vintage silver prints, stamped and annotated on backs. Note: Set of two photographs devoted to the stunts and action scenes performed by Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo in two great films of popular French cinema: Adieu l'ami, directed by Jean Herman in 1968 with Charles Bronson, and Le Casse, a film by Henri Verneuil released in 1971. These two works illustrate the evolution of the French thriller and adventure film in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when Delon and Belmondo dominated the European box office. Renowned for performing some of their own stunts, the two actors helped to establish a spectacular, physical image of the modern French hero. Collectors of French cinema and memorabilia dedicated to these two icons are particularly interested in period photographs of action scenes. 17.8 x 23.8 cm & 19.7 x 24.8 cm. Note:
