LA TRAVERSEE DE PARIS Jean Gabin, Bourvil, Louis de funès and a pig... during the shooting of Claude Autant-Lara's film, 1956. 3 photos, later prints (1980s) on RC paper, captioned and annotated on the backs. 24 x 18 cm each. Note: Set of three photographs depicting Jean Gabin, Bourvil, Louis de Funès and a pig during the shooting of La Traversée de Paris, a film directed by Claude Autant-Lara in 1956 based on a short story by Marcel Aymé. Considered one of the great classics of French cinema, the film depicts the black market under the German Occupation with dark humor and realism. The confrontation between Jean Gabin and Bourvil remains one of the most famous duets in French cinema, while Louis de Funès appears in a secondary role that has become cult. Photographs related to this iconic film are particularly sought-after by collectors of French cinema and film memorabilia. Later prints made in the 1980s on RC paper, with captions and annotations on verso.
