THE ROLLING STONES - Lot 150
THE ROLLING STONES At the "Locomotive" - Paris, 1964. 5 photos, vintage silver gelatin prints, 18 x 24 cm each. Note: This set of five photographs taken in Paris in 1964 captures the Rolling Stones at the *Locomotive*, one of the hotspots of Parisian youth and music culture in the 1960s. At the start of their international career, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts were already embodying the revival of British rock and the emergence of a new popular culture that would permanently transform the music, fashion, and behavior of an entire generation. These photographs document one of the band’s first visits to France, at a time when the “British Invasion” was sweeping across Europe and the world. As vintage prints, these photographs are invaluable records of the early days of one of the most influential bands in rock history.
