JEAN-PIERRE MELVILLE - Lot 133
JEAN-PIERRE MELVILLE
With Bourvil, during the filming of "Le Cercle rouge," 1970.
Photograph, vintage silver print, annotated on the back.
12.5 x 17.8 cm.
Condition: a slight tear in one corner.
Note: In “Le Cercle rouge,” Bourvil took on a dramatic role that was quite unlike his usual parts. He passed away shortly before the film’s release, which lends this behind-the-scenes photo with Melville a deeply emotional significance.
