Adapted from Edna Ferber's novel, this sweeping drama about the changing face of Texas reunites Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and James Dean in what would be the latter's last film. James Dean died tragically in an automobile accident in 1955, before the film's release, helping to make Giant a legendary work in the history of American cinema. His performance earned him a posthumous Best Actor Oscar nomination.
