Walter CARONE (1920–1982), Leading Figures in Film, Theater, and Dance, from the 1960s to the 1990s A set of six photographs featuring leading figures in film, theater, and dance from the 1960s to the 1990s. Includes: - Simone Signoret in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, June 1978; - Anouk Aimée by the sea (damaged with loss of emulsion in the lower right corner); - Margot Fonteyn in *Giselle*, circa 1970; - Michèle Morgan in her dressing room at the Théâtre des Variétés, 1978; - Anne Parillaud, Paris, circa 1992; - Perrette Pradier and Paul Guers on a film set, circa the 1960s. Seven vintage silver gelatin press prints. Stamps, captions, handwritten annotations, and credits for Walter Carone, Sygma, or Gamma on the reverse, depending on the copy. Dimensions: approximately 20 × 25 to 20 × 30 cm. Note: This collection brings together seven portraits and on-set photographs featuring some of the leading figures of French and European entertainment. Walter Carone presents intimate images of Mylène Demongeot, Simone Signoret, Anouk Aimée, Michèle Morgan, and the dancer Margot Fonteyn, while the last two prints feature Anne Parillaud at the start of her international career and a scene from a film shoot featuring Perrette Pradier and Paul Guers. Preserved with their original captions, stamps, and annotations, these prints bear witness to the golden age of press photography dedicated to film, theater, and dance.
