Adapted from the book by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre, this feature film recounts the events surrounding the Liberation of Paris in August 1944 and remains one of the most significant historical productions in French cinema. Featuring an exceptional international cast and backed by considerable resources, the film was shot at numerous iconic locations throughout the capital, including Notre-Dame, a major symbol of Parisian history. This photograph bears witness to the reconstruction efforts and the scale of the production in the very heart of France’s monumental heritage.
