ELIO PETRI - Anonymous - Lot 217
ELIO PETRI - Anonymous Portrait of director Elio Petri, 1971 Vintage silver gelatin print. 24 x 36 cm Note: A leading figure in Italian cinema of the 1960s and 1970s, Elio Petri made his mark with socially conscious films that were both political and profoundly innovative. Taken in 1971, this portrait captures the filmmaker at the height of his career, shortly after the success of *Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion*, which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes. A vintage silver gelatin print highly sought after by collectors of Italian arthouse cinema.
