Note: Set of two photographs depicting Alain Delon as a priest riding a moped during the filming of *Doucement les basses*, a film directed by Jacques Deray and released in 1971, shot in Brittany. This unconventional comedy occupies a unique place in Alain Delon’s filmography, as he is more commonly associated with the police and dramatic roles that brought him international fame. Jacques Deray, director of *La Piscine* and *Borsalino*, reunites with the actor here in a lighter, offbeat role. One of the photographs is credited to Jean-Pierre Bonnotte, a photographer active in French cinema during the 1960s and 1970s. These on-set prints, bearing distribution stamps and annotations, are of particular interest to collectors focused on Alain Delon and popular French cinema of that era.
